Intergenerational Ministry

St. Andrew believes faith is caught more than taught, and we help pass the faith by fostering intergenerational connections. Therefore, St. Andrew is about sharing life as we experience God's love, deepen faith in Christ, and identify Spirit-given gifts and calling. We offer a variety of faith formation activities.

  • Prayer Buds: A positive, faith-based mentorship program for our youth that builds connections across ages, helps guide children's prayer life, and supports their spiritual growth. Participants are paired with an adult from St. Andrew who will pray for them daily, and the youth will reciprocate by praying for their adult partner.

  • Messy Church: An all-inclusive take on church that includes interactive activities, songs, prayers, and dinner! All ages are welcome and encouraged to attend. Messy Church happens on the first Sunday of most months from 4 - 6 pm.

  • Epiphany Party: An annual evening with fellowship, activities, and a white elephant gift exchange as we celebrate Epiphany together.

  • Unplugged Praise Band: Rehearsals on Wednesdays from 5:30 to 6 pm in the sanctuary. Youth in grade 6 through adults are welcome to participate.

  • End-of-Year celebration: Each May, we celebrate the conclusion of the school year and our education classes with a fun picnic and activity.

  • Lake Day: Each summer, we spend a Saturday enjoying lake activities at Battleground Lake. There are kayaks, paddleboards, and more to share, but bring along your favorite if you have one!

  • Family Camp: No matter your family structure, this camp is for you! Hosted at Ocean Park Retreat Center in Ocean Park, WA, Kite Camp is run the same week as the International Kite Festival in Long Beach. You can enjoy camp-provided meals and housing as well as all of the camp activities, or you can travel to see the abundance of amazing kites! Find out more information or register at opretreat.org.
