Adult Education
Everyone is invited to see, grow and serve in Jesus through our small groups and educational ministry.
Adult Education: Join a class this Sunday! We offer a variety of classes throughout the program year, from September to May. Classes are between services during the Educational Hour, 9:45 - 10:45 am.
Tuesday Morning Bible Study: All are invited to join us for a Bible study on Tuesday mornings at 9 am. The study is located in the conference room and on Zoom.
St. Andrew Library: Like to read or watch videos? St. Andrew has a comprehensive library!
Good Deeds with Beads: All are welcome to join us in making beaded bracelets to see at local fundraising events. All proceeds are directed back into the community to help fight homelessness. Beading is monthly on the third Friday and often on the third Saturday. For the most up-to-date information, visit their Facebook page.
Journey of Faith (JOF): Journey of Faith lets participants dive into the Bible in new and exciting ways, connect with others, build relationships, and ultimately deepen faith. It involves gathering to prayerfully listen to and discuss our Sunday worship Bible passages, reflecting on God’s presence and calling in your life. Journeyers will be paired with a faith partner from the church. The Journey of Faith culminates with baptism or an affirmation of baptism at the Easter Vigil. We discuss the Journey of Faith process in our Come and See classes. We encourage everyone in the St. Andrew community to experience the Journey of Faith process at least once.
Book Club: The book club meets monthly on the second Sunday.
Prayer Shawl: The prayer shawl ministry provides prayed-over and blessed shawls for any occasion. Everyone is a member of the prayer shawl ministry. This includes everyone who has made a shawl, given a shawl, or received one. Knitters meet every second Wednesday during the program year at 10 am. Beginners are always welcome to join. Contact the church office for more information. To date, we have given more than 1000 prayer shawls!
Empty Nesters: Empty Nesters is a fun group of adults who are nearing retirement or retired who meet together monthly for friendship, sharing, and a yearly service project. We meet on the 3rd Friday of each month.
Pub Theology: Pub Theology has spanned nearly 100 gatherings and hundreds of questions. They’ve had tremendous thought-provoking discussions and fantastic libations in all corners of Clark County. Pub Theology meets on the last Tuesday of each month from 6-8 pm. All are welcome to join, even if you don’t drink adult beverages. This is a no-host event for both beverages and food. Visit their Facebook page for upcoming topics and gathering locations.
Quilters: St. Andrew Quilters work together to make quilts for those living in shelters and others in the community. Join us on Wednesday mornings throughout the school year in Room 8. All are welcome regardless of prior experience.
