Preschool Staff

Ms. Becky has a BA from Seattle University. Becky’s quiet and upbeat outlook will help make your child’s transition to preschool a very positive experience. She enjoys bringing yoga into the classroom. Becky was the Sunday School Superintendent at St. Andrew Lutheran. She has been teaching at St. Andrew since 2010. Her children attended St. Andrew Preschool.

Ms. Beth has a BS from the University of Kentucky and MS from Colorado State University. She has enjoyed being the preschool director at St. Andrew since 1997. Beth’s first concern is for your child’s safety, and second is creating an environment where your child can explore and develop the critical thinking skills and intrinsic self-worth that are so important for growth and development. Beth’s children attended St. Andrew Preschool.

Ms. Bethany has six years’ experience teaching preschool-age children, but her history with St. Andrew goes back even further - she was a preschooler here! Bethany has an associate’s degree from Clark College and is working towards a BA in Human Development at WSUV. Bethany is an avid reader and shares that love of literature with her students. Teaching at St Andrew is her dream job and she loves working with teachers so dedicated to creating a safe, fun and child-centered environment. When she's not at the preschool, you'll probably find her working in her garden, reading a book or doing some late night sewing. Her children attended St. Andrew.

Ms. Candice’s excellent communication skills, sense of humor and experience teaching co-op preschool make her a perfect fit for St. Andrew’s “2 & You classes”.   She is currently the PTA president at Truman Elementary where her organizational ability and encouragement of collaboration have built strong relationships with the stake holders at the school.  Ms. Candice’s children attended St. Andrew Preschool.

Ms. Cassi has a BA in Social Sciences from Washington State University with concentrations in human development, sociology, and psychology.  She has been involved in competitive swimming for over 20 years and a swim coach for 10.  In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters - hiking, camping, beach-combing, gardening and crafting.  She thoroughly enjoys working with children and sharing her love of the outdoors and animals.  Ms. Cassi's child attended St. Andrew.  Her family is a 2nd generation preschool family - her husband attended preschool here!

Ms. Kim studied Early Childhood Education at Clark College. She has been a loving and encouraging teacher at St Andrew since 1987. Kim is one of our Lunch Bunch teachers and also coordinates the nursery at St. Andrew Lutheran. Outside of preschool, Kim does floral design for weddings and other special occasions. Her child and grandchildren attended St. Andrew Preschool.

Ms. Kimberly has a BA in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Fine and Performing Arts from Northwestern State University.  She has additional training and certification in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd.  Her extensive background in emergency management is an asset to the school.  She enjoys sharing her love of music with her “2 & You” class.  Ms. Kimberly’s children attended St. Andrew Preschool.

Ms. Jillian has a BA from Central Washington University.  Jillian has a background teaching cheerleading and dance to children and is passionate about educating preschoolers through movement.  She believes in nurturing your child’s natural love of learning through play-based and hands-on activities. Outside of preschool, Jillian enjoys running, reading, and enjoying the outdoors with her children. Both of her children attended St. Andrew Preschool.

Ms. Lori studied music performance at Mt. Hood and Edmonds Community Colleges. In addition to teaching kindergarten, she teaches music and movement to all of our preschool students. Lori taught Kindermusik®, private voice and piano for 11 years. Her great communication skills, sense of humor and calm manner make her a perfect fit for teaching young children. She began teaching at St. Andrew in 2007. Lori’s children attended St. Andrew Preschool.

Ms. Mimi, a substitute teacher, has a BA in Business Administration and Marketing from Concordia University. Mimi was born and raised in Japan. Her native language is Japanese. She is very crafty. She loves sewing, soap making, and gardening vegetables. Mimi is currently learning pottery from Ms. Annie. She also loves hiking trails and bike riding with her family. Mimi’s children attended St. Andrew Preschool.

Ms. Natalie studied Early Childhood Education at Clark College.  She has 15 years of teaching experience and has focused additional training around classroom environments, emergent curriculum and documentation.  Natalie excels at joyfully meeting each child at his or her own developmental level and encouraging the wonder of God’s creation.  She lives on a mini-farm where she raises animals and is also an avid gardener.

Ms. Sara is a certified teacher with a BA in Elementary Education with a Spanish minor from Concordia University and a Master of Education from WSU. She has been teaching since 1998 and started at St. Andrew in 2010. Sara is the parent educator at St. Andrew and teaches Love & Logic® Early Childhood Parenting Made Fun! Sara teaches kindergarten. Sara’s children attended St. Andrew Preschool. 

Ms. Savannah, a substitute teacher, received her BS in Human Development from Warner Pacific while being a mom of young children. She used her time-management and organizational skills as the PTA President at Marrion Elementary. She is passionate about diversity and inclusion, as well as building strong communities. Savannah’s children attended St. Andrew.
