Youth and Family Ministry Coordinator
I am the Youth and Family Ministry Coordinator (YFMC) for St. Andrew Lutheran Church. The YFMC position is new, as of spring 2016. As YFMC, I oversee the continued implementation of the Youth and Family Vision Goal:
The goal of youth* and family ministry at St. Andrew is to create an environment where youth and their families experience the love of God, deepen their faith in Christ, and identify their Spirit-given gifts and calling in order to empower them to share the good news of God’s reign in word and deed at church and in their daily lives.
I’ve been a volunteer at St. Andrew since 2008. I’ve taught Sunday school, served as VBS Director and have worked with others in the faith community to continue to grow our youth ministry.
I graduated from Portland State University in 1990 and have had several different careers, including advertising sales and estate sales. My husband and I have three active boys and we have lived in the Vancouver area since moving from Beaverton in 2006. I enjoy reading, antiques, garage sales and spending time with my family.
*Note: “Youth” refers to children and teens.
